Martin Luther King Day
MLK Day is celebrated every year on the third Monday of January as a way to honor Martin Luther King Jr’s life, his legacy, and his efforts to achieve racial equality in the US.
As the first integrated mission south of the Mason-Dixon Line, Wayside Christian Mission is proud to celebrate MLK Day each year with many activities in his memory.
In addition to Duane's rendition of MLK's famous speech, those activities included:
