When you invest in Wayside Christian Mission, you ensure that the Mission has the resources to care for, challenge, and assist Louisville’s last, lost, and neediest residents.

In order to:

  • provide food for our many homeless clients,

  • recruit and retain staff to care for our clients and help them achieve self-sufficiency,

  • and keep our residential facilities in good repair,

we need to raise a large amount of money each year. 

 

Since Wayside is a 501(c)(3) organization, all monetary contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

 

When you send a contribution, we provide an acknowledgment letter that meets the requirements the IRS has set for the deduction of charitable contributions from taxable income.  Furthermore, should you designate your contribution for a specific activity or population, we honor your designation scrupulously.

Our LifeSavers Club provides a convenient opportunity for Wayside supporters to contribute regularly to support the Mission and our clients.  Members of the LifeSavers Club pledge $10, $25, $50 or more each month to help those who are in need.

 

With your prayers and regular financial support, we will continue feeding, clothing, housing, training, and nurturing our neighbors who are suffering from addiction, poverty, ignorance, and want.

 

By saying yes, you can join our other compassionate supporters who think giving a neighbor a helping hand makes good sense.

So, how much should you give? Here are 3 examples of OUR costs to help you decide:

 MEAL FOR 1 PERSON

Hot, balanced meal.
Includes mobile kitchen program

$1.58 per meal

 NIGHT FOR 1 PERSON

Includes bed, linens, utilities, clothing/hygiene items as needed, security, access to case

management, access to chaplaincy/religious activities, housing search assistance

$18.41 per night per individual

 NIGHT FOR 1 FAMILY

Includes semi-private family accommodations, beds, linens, utilities, clothing/hygiene

items as needed intensive case management, access to chaplaincy/religious activities,

housing search assistance, job search assistance, tutoring/academic assistance,

children’s activities/outings

$36.82 per night per family
